Got an automatic convertible...yeah yeah...slowest of the GT's produced. But I was really interested in a torque converter for it as a couple of people have mentioned it would really wake up the automatic transmission. I've seen them from the upper 200 dollar rang to the 700-800 dollar range. What exactly is the difference. What stall do I need? Do I have to get any type of transmission cooler cause I heard they are harder on it? Actually, as long as I'm asking, what exact model number of transmission do I have? Lot of questions, sorry, but hope to get a lot of answers. Thanks.

You should get a trans-cooler no matter what. Also a shift-kit or aftermarket valvebody to firm up the shifts and reduce heat and wear. 4.10 gears are also a very nice kick the tail that haven't effected me in any negative manner.

As with anything, you generally get what you pay for. Precision Industries and Art Carr are excellent from what I hear. I think I also saw somewhere that Edge Racing is putting out a new one for AODE's, and they make a good product as well from what I've heard.

As for stall, I wouldn't go below 3,000 rpm. I'm even considering going as high as 3,600 or so when I finally get around to doing mine.
