Me and a couple buddies (most of them have hondas BOO) want to go to a track this summer and do some racing. We were looking at willow springs, but basically we just want a day where we can go and take our cars on a nice track and just race. Is there anywhere people know of where I can find track days and register online and just show up or something? I would appreciate any comments.

Most track days are wed and friday for the test and tune night which is what you would want to go to. All you do is show up, pay and register, then race your car. It costs $10 to get in and an aditional $5 to race your car at the track I go to so a total of $15 for the whole night.

I see youre in San diego. I think Qualcomm has racing on friday nights and Carlsbad is open on Saturdays. Ask in the West Coast Forum. There are a lot of San Diego guys in there and they are always having events, just in case you want to get away from all thoe honduh guys.

*Edit*
I see that you mentioned Willow Springs. Were you looking to do some Auto-X or Drag racing? Also, Willow Springs is quite a drive up from San Diego. Once again, post this up in the West Coast section.

i know ALL about qualcomm, lol my friend with a prelude has had .50 reaction times 3 weeks in a row, we were looking at road courses. Willow springs will rent their horse theif mile for 800 for a half day, split that 10 ways its worth it. I think thats what we might do. Thanks for the info though - im just sic of going straight, I have $2000 worth of saleen suspension, its about time i tested it

Check with California Speedway, they do road racing in the speedway infield.

I wish I had a freaking track to go to. The nearest one is only 6 hours away.
