So I went to atco tonight...not too happy but I guess its okay my first time out ever.

I ran a 15.6 @ 90. The second run was bs...dont wanna talk about it but the clock was counting for 2 seconds before I went out.

Anyway, the first time I guess I was just nervous and the other guy was all staged up, and as soon as I got to the line the lights went down so I didnt really have time to brake stall it up...2.4 60 footer...

I'll be back!

BTW: My dad in his viper ran a 12.1 @ 117...lol.

I dunno, what I did was stall about 1800 and then try to go, but I did not get to even try this out at the track because of what happened. I had no time to do anything before the lights.

Yeah usually, but I wasn't all the way at the line and the other guy was all staged up already, so as soon as I got there the ****ing lights started going...I panicked...I was pissed.

Some guy was there with a stock 5.0 aode as well, he said he went 15.2 stock and 14.6 after his tq converter that he got off of ebay for 250. Thats next on my list, edge 2800 and then gears, high flow midpipe.

SO guys, 90mph is good for ~15.1 right?

When I was completely stock I ran a 15.2 at 90mph with my 5 speed 'vert. I was a complete newbie then though and I remember my 60's were in the 2.3 range.

Atco is a fairly fast track (low elevation) so you should run some pretty good times for your mods there.

A 15.6 at 90mph is not bad at all for your mods and your first time out. Unfortunately with a stock AODE 'vert there is VERY little you can do to get quicker after about 3 seconds into the run, meaning that all you can control to get your times to fall is the first 60' of the track. Things like your launch RPM, how shallow you stage, etc. After the first 60' your just along for the ride at that point.

Yeah thats exactly right...I needed to cut that 60' time which I know I could do.

Guys with an automatic...do you shift it yourself or does the AODE do a good job on shift points?

15.6 is not that bad at all.......I think my first pass was the same but at 89 mph and by the end of that night it went 15.3@92 bone stock.....I bumped timing and pulled air silencer and it went 14.9@93...i just did catback and h-pipe a few months back and it went 14.7@94....but my track is also close to sea level as well, i see your in PA so I don't know if maybe your track is at a highter elevation or what. Get some more practice on launches and that's where it's at, I just leave the car in drive whenever I run it i'm not sure if it'd make much difference the other way around or not.

My best time is 15.4 at 90 mph, with a 2.3 60 foot.

That was only my second run. I beleve I got more left in it. Where you spinning or bogging?

My first run was 17 something, i spun all the way through first it was my first time to get on it with the 3k stall.

I let it shift on its own.
