Nice times, I've always liked the two toned paint on your car..how was the turn out that day? I've always wanted to make it down to Fords a Etown but never make it. Ohh well, with all hopes I'll be there next year!

The turn out was weak, not a lot of cars showed. You might want to go next year, if they have any more weak turn outs, they will most likely kill the race. They just ruined FFW in New Hampshire, they just killed a big Ford race up there as well. Everyone talks about racing, noone does, and then people who didn't race complain when the tracks cancel events...

I would not be surprised if we lose this event very soon!

Bad ass vids!! In your fastest time vid you can see my fiance, her cousin, and me in the bottom right standing by the wall

I'd love to race but honestly never have, and wouldn't know where to start. You and your dad would have to school me

Ehh its easy to do, and addicting! I've probably gone down the track a couple hundred times in a bunch of different cars. It's not hard, just when your going for a number is when you need to start beating on the car and trying to get down the track a tiny bit faster!

On the second video: "And neither racer anywhere near the index"

Sweet runs for that combo.

I like the launch from that blue hatch after you ran in the first clip.

Yeah the blue hatch is the brothers car, I just got my dads 9.93 video I will be making a thread for soon. Brother snagged a 12.14 @ 111.2 that day also, a new best for the car. He's still working on driving it harder, and when he gets it down to powershifting he will be in the 12.0hs! Might talk him into Atco end of the month with just the 86...

Yeah he actually pulled a 1.58 60' that day as well. I have a few videos from his passes. The car is actually just a GT40P, stock cam bolt on street car. He drives it there, tosses slicks on then swtiches and drives the 3 hours home. Gets 20+ mpg and is actually comfortable... Once the car grabs an 11 it might get a motor built!

Thanks, junkyard parts are more fun than aftermarket new crap! The only car with nice parts on it is the dads, and even those are actually used... HAHA!!! Only his rotating assembly, ignition, carb, cam and suspension was new.

Cool vids. In the 12.66 clip that's a great shot of the car launching. On another note, the car you were running against sounds sweet.

Yes when I threw the 26x10.5s on there it looks real low. I almost want to get it higher now.

Yeah the car has zero weight transfer, which hurts 60's and as you can tell it just spins.

The other car was a high 11 second Mach 1!

I hear ya. There's always a trade-off but it still moves out pretty dang good.
