Great vid's bro, thanks for sharing! I love your car's stance! The 12.66 run had the best camera footage. Your brothers blue stang sounds like a torque monster!

I wish I knew, I got a 1.693 on one of my passes and it boggles my mind. My car as you can see does NOT transfer weight. It spins then goes. On the 1.69 pass the car was on the limiter and right before I let it fly the car bogged down (turned out to be the CAI sleeve at te TB letting air in after the MAF) to maybe 5000 RPM or so. Turns out the car liked that better than the rev limiter, but the rev limiter was just more fun and easier for me, so I stuck with it!

The brothers car has always snagged mid to low 1.6s but since he put the two step in the car is always 1.58-1.62 with a 1.63 every now and then. His car transfers weight nice, and makes more power than mine though.

What do you 60'? 109-110 mph and some low 1.6 high 1.5s and you would be all over low low 12s!

I usually 60' in the 1.7 range but have gotten into the 1.6's a couple of times, with a 1.64 being my best. I don't leave on the rev limiter but I'm wondering if I should. I leave at 5K but make peak power on the dyno at 6,400 rpms. What's your thoughts? Sometimes I'll leave at 5,300 and the ET Streets will spin, just like in the videos from Tasca day.

Are you leaving that hard on a stock rear end? I'm already afraid of breaking something and i don't leave half that hard. I can't wait to get mine on some decent tires. The old and busted drag radials just didn't cut it.

Naah, my rearend is built. I've got 4.30 gears, Detroit Locker Unit, 31-spline axles, Southside Machine Lower control arms and Steeda adjustable uppers. I run 14 to 16 psi in the ET Streets but if I could leave at a higher RPM without spinning, I'd let some air out of them and leave at 12 psi or so.

I have a stock rear with Ranger Axles and left off the limiter all day that day.

12 psi, a good burnout and 5000-5500 should be about optimal. My brothers car 60's 1.58-1.63 all day with 4.10s, 9" slicks and 5000-5500.

Nice runs, that car really is something else. Has the driver mod though, acts like a normal persons 75 shot.

Only 30? I'm a good 150 or so. I've never paid attention to the mileage but I'm 2.5 hours from there.

120-160 depending which track we go to... We have a trailer, but more cars racing than trailers. I personally have driven to the track alone, with the slicks in the back, rev limiter launches and drove it home, more times than I can count!

I'm the type of person that just worries about things if/when they happen.

75 shot Josh... now you got me thinking what it would take for 11s!!!

30 MILES, id be at the track every day, we are in serious need of more tracks around here, my buddy in maryland has like 3 tracks within 50 miles of his house, how sweet is that

it sucks when your a state away, with no trailer, and you break... for example

Well...i guess in the spring i need to get some slicks and see what my car will really do. Be prepared for a busted diff thread in about 4 months or so

I had a busted diff after the first time on slicks with the Ranger axles. Last time out made 7 passes, 6 off the 6250 rev limiter, and somehow didnt break it. My guess is the clutch going on me helped.

Slicks/ET Streets are fun!

Yeah i'm suspicious of my clutch too. The other day i had it out, and i had my shifter hole cover off (a thing i made out of sheet metal to cover the hole until i get carpet in it) and i hit second and a cloud of white smoke came through the floor. I don't know if maybe oil leaked from something and hit the clutch and made it smoke, or maybe the exhaust and burned off, or if i actually smoked the clutch but it seemed to slip a little. Then i was on the highway and down shifted to 4th and it didn't hit hard like it normally does so a new clutch is on the to-do list.

Yeah mine started off subtle in one gear, but by the 3rd pass every gear change landed a slip. It's frustrating to powershift a car as quick as you can to be rewarded with a clutch slip into gear...
