There was a thread about traction bars before the crash, and someone (CobraIILover?) was going to elucidate on how to modify the Lakewood Universal 28" bars to fit the II. Pics would be welcome, too.

Wasn't me, I think it was Sleeper. Something about you have to notch one bar to clear the shock mount or something.

pics do not exist, but just hold it up and you will see that it hits the part of the shock mount that is bent down at the side, remove metal from the bar until it fits

Didn't look to me like either one would fit; am I missing something? I was putting the forward hole for the rubber bung at the forward eye of the leaf spring. I'll take another look this weekend.
