I have found a new 21010 Mustang GT premium, candy red, I really like though it has about $1400 in scoops on it I could live without. The dealer has offered to trade it to me for about $6,000 off the sticker.
My only real problem is that it has the wheels that come standard with the GT premium. I have fanblades on my 2007 and really love them. I like them better than what is on the 2010.
Would it be stupid to keep my wheels and have the dealer put the 2010 wheels on the 2007 I would be trading in.
(I want the new tires so he would have to change them).
Would 2007 wheels on a 2010 be dumb?

If it's a look that YOU like, then go for it. But I would be willing to bet you can also change out wheels from another 2010 mustang on the lot, if they really want to make a deal with you.

They do not have another Mustang on the lot, except for a V6. I have looked at many dealers and there are few choices in my area for other wheels. That also screws with the list price of their cars, but believe me I would ask if there were wheels I liked better.
He also told me he could sell me the car he has, he has had it awhile, for much less than he can get me one for.
I also have a $750 private offer rebate from Ford that expires Wednesday but new rebates won't be out until after then. Will they be more than the current rebates? If so, will they be high enough to make up for the $750 I will lose if I wait until after the last day of March?
That is all a guessing game.
Any other opinions on swapping the wheels?

I think no one is chiming up because it hasn't been done to our knowledge anyways :p You could always be the guinea pig...

Other than that have you tried the accesorizor(?) I don't know if you can put earlier style on an '10, but it might give you an idea until somebody chimes in
