So yesterday I finally unloaded the 03. Talk about mixed emotions....I really loved that car..but because I drove it every day to college, I managed to rack up the mileage pretty quick....67k to be exact.
So instead of doing a transmission flush, coolant flush, replacing the rear tires, getting an alignment, and trying to figure out just wtf is up with my headlight wiring, I decided to take a trip down to CarMax and see what was up. I wanted this 2002 Trans Am they had down there, but it had 32k miles on it and they were asking $20k. Between the payments and the insurance, there was no way I was going to hand over the cash required. SO, I started looking for an alternative and found a 1999 Anniversary GT for sale. Bright red, black hood stripe, and only 40k miles on it
. The sticker on it was $13k...and after driving it, I just couldn't help myself
. So I traded in the Stang for $7k and took on some cheap payments to move up to the GT. I'm enjoying the manual shift quite a bit, but it's definitly going to be a few days before I get used to it. But at any rate, just thought I'd post this to keep you guys and gals up to date. I'll still be hanging around the V6 forums though
. I really like the V6 stangs as I have owned 2, and believe me when I say that having the GT is not going to go to my head. I'm too old for that egotistical crap
. Well, let me know what you guys/gals think. Was it a good deal or did I screw up?

...but then...it is the reason I have a Mustang at all, so I guess I can't complain too much right?
