alright, i'm soon gonna be swapping my triax shifter for a much nicer mgw shifter and figure i might as well change the tranny fluid since the shifter will be off, since i'm not sure when it was done last, if ever. i've got a tr3650 btw

i work at a car dealership and have access to royal purple fluid at a discount. would this be a good fluid to use?
i'm guessing i need the Max ATF fluid??

how much should buy? 4 quarts? i'm not sure if the tsb has been performed on my tranny. when the car is cold it will grind going into second. and the first and only time i've taken it to the track, it would grind going into 2nd and 3rd on some runs.

thanks for all the help

Redline makes great fluid for the tr3650/t-45's transmissions.
Doesnt the manual tell you how many quarts it takes, I'm almost postive its different than my t-45

i believe the manual states its 3.8 quarts, but some on here have posted about using more/less with it helping grinding problems

If you have the Tremec 3650, use 3.0L (3.2 quarts). I used Dexron III.

I shot for 3.2 quarts as well. I've seen people say 3.2-3.5. I didn't measure mine out to .2 quarts exactly, I just made sure I had between 3.2 and 3.5 in there. I used Royal Purple Synchromax.
