Tranny grinds sometimes during downshift...clutch or tranny???

This has been a problem for quite some while but didn't think too much of it since it wasn't that major, it's just an annoyance now. Only thing aftermarket dealing with the tranny is a short throw shifter. Stock clutch and flywheel. When I'm downshifting through the gears mainly from 3rd to 2nd gear and I engage the clutch, the tranny starts grinding like it doesn't want to go into the next lower gear. When I disengage then re-engage the clutch it goes in no problem. Would this be a clutch or tranny problem.

I know mine has some trouble going from 3rd to 2nd...especially depending on what speed I'm at...dunno if this is normal for this car or not. If I'm really careful when I downshift and throttle up to match rpm's its smoother, but still not the smoothest downshift in the world. You making sure you're speed is low enough to properly engage the gear before downshifting?

it is a syncro problem. i have 60k on the clock and mine just started doing it if I am going to fast trying to downshift into first.

anyone who still has waranty make sure you take it in as this is not normal behavior.

Anyone know where there is a list of the TSB's for mustangs. I don't want to get all paranoid, but being new to this type of car, not always sure what is normal and what is a problem.

Sorry to change the tone of the thread!
Thanks!
