Tranny or torque converter failing

For some time now I have noticed a problem. I will start my car up mid morning, let it warm up, and then drive off. I know that around 25-40 miles and hour it feels like my car is suddenly thrown into neutral (the engine rev's when the pedal is pressed, but the car is still in drive). This doesnt happen every time, but when it does it happens once or rarely twice and then im fine for the rest of the day. I recently had the transmission fluid flushed out. I dont know how old the transmission and torque converter are, but the transmission is a three speed. My way of warming the car up is letting it idle for 4 minutes and then driving away and increase my driving speed slowly. I had the kickdown cable replaced last year.

Thanks!

First check the fluis level. Do this after it's warmed up and shifted thru all gears and do it with the engine idling in park. If it's full then the seals have dried up and shrunk and the fluid is bypassing somewhere internally. Time for it to be rebuilt then.
