Yes, you can use the 95 trans in the 88, and yes, you will need the 95 bellhousing. The 94-95 used a 5/8" longer input shaft, so the bellhousing must be used for one of those years. You may also need a shorter driveshaft and *might* need to elongate your shifter hole in the floor to make up for the difference.
