my old trans took a trip on me about a month ago and im in the middle of a swap and am having a bit of trouble with the bellhousing.... ive removed all of the bolts but it still wont come loose. on the sides of the housing it seems like theres a couple of pins still holding it in place??? im wondering if i have to punch those out, or if its even worth it since the clutch still felt fine to me before the old trans broke? btw the transmission is away from the bellhousing since i thought it would be easier to do in 2 pieces. HELP!!!

make sure the tranny is physically laying on the ground and not pulled away, otherwise the input shaft could still be putting weight on the clutch fork/ t/o bearing, and the bell.

as well, there are a total of ten bolts to remove to get the bell out.

1. the very two at the top of the bell
2. the ones in the middle of the bell on the left and right side
3. the lowest ones on the left and right side.
4. the two starter bolts
5. the two small bolts that bolt the blockplate to the bell on the very bottom of the bell.

that's it, that's all of them. the bell pins are mearly guiding pins, and don't have to be punched out. If all those bolts are removed, get a bigger prybar.

count the bolts removed, have you have removed (6) approx 3 inch bolts as followed from top(2)and sides(4)of tranny. 2 starter bolts and 2 dust cover bolts form bottom of bellhousing?total of 10 bolts.
