Tranny to the end

My mustang (93') is a rock and after 3years of loving the thing, i believe the tranny is starting to go. It clicks and chuggs when i'm accelerating. I'm currently broke right now, i dumped it all under the hood. So now i got a sound mustang and the tranny is gonna quit i me! is their anyway i can prolong the life of it? i need to wait till febuary when my income check comes any ideas?
