i just noticed a very noticable whine from first gear it gets louder the faster you go and you can hear it clearly over the bassani exhaust. ive heard the first to second gear clunk with the t 3650 but never complaints of this. question is it normal and i just havent been payin attention or am i in for a new trans? thanks

This isn't that uncommon actually. I wouldn't worry about it, really. Just drive it, and if she blows, she blows.

normaly i wouldnt worry but my warranty runs out in august so i figured if it was a prob i would take it in, and i figured if it wasnt they would blame my wheels for being to much or something so i thought i would need some time to find stock wheels.

the junk 3650 in my '03 has made that first gear whine noise since it was new. Not only that, but the throw out bearing has been replaced twice out of warranty, and the 2nd/3rd syncros were replaced in warranty for cold hard shift. When the clutch finally gives, I'm going to swap for a t45.

The 1st gear whine is normal, and a characteristic of the tranny itself. The gears meshing is what makes the sound. Toploaders do that in every gear and its 3x louder. Again, simply the sound it makes when the gears mesh.
