I have a 2003 automatic gt and im planning on putting a procharger on it. I want to put a trans cooler on but there are alot of diffrent types. I wasnt sure which one would work best with my car and the added heat or a procharger. I live in illinois and it is only a summer car

Typically I havent had issues when installing a blower to the stock set-up but a aftermarket cooler is always a good idea. I like the coolers that have the fan but that would be very tight unless you can get it up in the inner fender. The B&M Super cooler is nice, so is the Derale.

So running a cooler that dosent have a fan should be enough?

Yeah but try to get some air to pass at it, there will be no room up front with a 2 or 3 core ATI intercooler. The directions will have you modify the lines anyway so its the perfect time to add a cooler. On race cars we mount them in the rear sometime, but Ive never done that in a street car.

You may be able to sneak it sideways up around the radiator support but it can get tight with the intercooler plumbing.\

Something like this may be needed

ryan281:

A plate type cooler offers low pressure drop and is thermally efficient. It won't plug with bugs as much as finned tubes will. A fan is not required. Mine is plumbed in series with the stock (in radiator) cooler.
