i got a tko now ,,you think a auto ,is the way to go? pg or c-4...i broke f/c dual frition disc..and burning clucthes ..almost in the 9s ..fixing to add some more nitrous to it...
 
Hey,you got the same problem as me :) .

I just finished breaking my C4,now I got a PA C4 on the way.

If its a strip car,get the power glide.

btw,what kinda combo you runing?
I got a 408 on spray too.

If you want to hold that hp on a stick the dual friction is not enough. Look to D&D out of Detroit area at the Viper Spec T56 its good for 650ft/lb of torque, and a McLeod twin disc clutch good for 800hp. Guys are running street cars with turbos in the 9's with this set up :nice: .

So its a strip car only huh?

I think you should go with a auto.

The C4 would be a good choise,but if you ever run bracket or decied more power,I would really consider a PG.

Agreed, strip only, auto all the way :nice: .
 
Strip = auto, however, if you want to keep it stick then check out pro-motion in florida. My TKO II done by them is good for 700 ft/lbs (not that I'm close). Also, D&D, as suggested earlier, are pros on tranny questions.

408 ..4340 interals...12.5to1 comp..victor jr heads 2.05/1.60 heads flow only 291 int 198 exh,,just bowl blended,,solid roller cam specs are 264/272 at .050 lift ..lift is .701/.688 ,1.72 rockers .stud girrlde , suoer victor intake ,,1000 cfm demon carb..,canton oil pan..msd dist ,dig 6 box, and cheater nos system adjust to 250 hp..200now..that the motor ..tko trans,center force clucth,,pro 5.0 shifter,,alum d/shaft..8.8 with 31 spline mosers..got c-clips..stock trak lock..3.73s .got anti roll bar ,,8 point cage 10 on the way ..flaming river manaul rack..iam sure i leaft something out... sorry about the spelling i was typing fast.... :rlaugh:

Hmm,a bit like mine.

I got a 408,dart iron eagle block,4340 forged crank,h-beam rods w/ arp L19 bolts,J&E pistons (TFS specific),TEA ported TFS Track Heat heads (flow 315/235 @ .600),Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake,Barry Grant 950 Race Demon RS (annular boosters),Cam Motion custom hyd roller.PA C4 on the way,Wolfe Racecraft suspension (rear),D&D tubular suspension (front),adjustable shocks/struts,fr manual rack (Its 20:1 standard),8.8 gridle,Eaton,Moser race axles (28 spline)(5 lug),Aerospace brakes,Weld Aluma Stars,8 point cage (10 point coming soon,cause of track rules as you probably know too :) ).I got all the other stuff,so you get the idea.

Depending on the rules of what class your runing,go with the more consistant/fastest transmission.Faster trans will probable the C4,more consistane probable the PG.
