Trans Id help

I have got a trans I am trying to ID the tag says RUG DE. It looks like a toploader BUT has a shifter shaft on the side on the tail housing. NOW I know this is the 5.0 section but I was told when I got it it came from a 79-83 mustang/capri anyone help me out?
