I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. My manual transmission grinds going into first - fourth gear. Is it possible that each syncro is bad? (Assuming there is one for each gear) I am wondering if the cable just needs to be adjusted. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Where is your clutch's point of engagement? If it is on the floor, adjust the clutch (dial slack out of the cable).

I agree, start with adjusting the cable and/or chcking if the cable is stretched or starting to snap. Also check the rubber firewall bushing on the cable at the firewall. Sometimes they tend to get crushed and flatten.

When was the last time you changed the tranmission fluid in your car?

Start with the cheap things, if those don't fix it, you might as well start saving for the TKO.

If you have the stock quadrant and/or cable setup, replace that.

+1....My T-5 was whining crazy loud for a while and blew up the other day.
