back in 99 or 2000 i had to replace the tranny in my car. well if anyone of you know me then u might know the story of what happened. ne who, im partin this b*tch out now. only problem is i dont know what kinda of transmission i have... the bell housing says tremmec on it but the rear part where the shifter connects to says borgwarner on it. NOWHERE on the tranny does it say what kind of transmission it is. the guy that put it in had told me that they didnt replace it with the same tranny that was in it originally. he told me that ford stopped making those for that car at that time (i believe they moved off of borgwarner and onto a tremmec 97-98).. anyways, after all this babbling all i want to know is what kinda of tranny i have. the only clue i have is a metal tag attached to the tranny that reads this :

F8ZC-7009-AA RES-AA
1381-001 105139 L2491

any help is appreciated...

How much do you want for it and is there anything wrong with it?

I could run those part numbers by my dad and he could look them up on the computer at work to get more info. (he works for Ford dealership). Or you could just call your local dealer up they'll be able to get you more info. on that tranny, as long as you show them those numbers.

The tranny is a T-45 if it is a 5sp, or a T-56 if it is a 6sp. I have a 1996 Cobra T-45 Tranny sitting in my garage. What problems did you have?

the old tranny blew up so i had this new one put in. it only has about 2500 miles on it.. my car was totaled (all rear end damage) and i stripped her down and took all the good parts and am currently selling them on ebay. i have no idea how much this crap is worth so i just set a decent reserve and let the bidders fight it out. the transmission has been sitting in storage for a couple of years so i dont know if that will affect it any. as far as i know the transmission works perfectly. none of the drive train was affected in the crash. it is a 5-speed. i dont want to post the wrong information in the e-bay add which is why i am askin what kind it is.
