I bought a 99 Mustang GT from a gentleman who was trying to do track racing. Trickflow intake manifold, headers flowmaster exhaust. needless to say, the transmission makes a real bad grinding noise when the clutch pedal is depressed. I took it to a couple different shops, one told me the transmission has to be rebuilt, however they dont make the transmission anymore. and parts and labor would be around $4000. another shop told me it could be the TOB, but they werent versed well enough to do the work. So now, the car is in my garage, halfway taken apart, k-member etc is almost all the way out. it is difficult to shift into gear. one gentleman told me the tr3650 will bolt directly to the 4.6L and should hold my stage 2 clutch kit and short throw shifter. does anybody have any advice they can give me, that wont cost me an arm and a leg to repair, replace, etc..
