We ran our 2000 GT at the track this weekend (motor is stock, we are running 3.90 gears on an Auburn limited slip differential). Noticed zero problems at the track. During burnouts, backing up, etc. When we got home, we noticed the transmission could not be shifted into reverse. Goes in 1-2-3-4-5 just fine, but reverse is a no-go. Lever will move all the way to the right, and will go forward into 5th, but will not go backward into reverse. Doesn't grind. Doesn't make any noises at all. Just won't go into reverse.
Any suggestions on what might have happened? Bent shift fork? Anything else that will cause this? (yes, the clutch is adjusted properly, we have a manual-adjusting cable and it disengages cleanly. Car won't go into reverse with motor off either, so it seems like something in the shift linkage internally must have an issue...
