This all started when I noticed my clutch cable starting to feel stretch after about 3-4 months of use. So, I bought a new one and it's only worse now. The transmission doesn't want to shift at all sometimes. If I push in the clutch all the way, it doesn't want to shift unless I release it back out a little. What the hell is going on? Throwout bearing going out? Clutch going bad? It's pissing me off because it's pretty embarrassing sometimes to be holding up traffic while trying to slam the shifter into the next gear.

welcome to my life... been through 2 cables already, all they do is stretch out and make driving a pain. This time its gonna be done right, i ordered a Maximum Motorsports OEM Cable and Fiore FWA to go along with my Steeda Quad. If that doesnt solve my clutch woes the car is going through my neighbors house, dont like him much anyways.

Is there any slack in the cable right now? If not, there's a chance the clutch itself is toast (the comment about letting the pedal back out brought this possibility about).

If you know the cable doesnt have excessive slack, the issue occurs in every gear and you can see the fork moving a decent distance, that kinda leaves the clutch as the place to look.

Good luck.

the upr stuff is crap.

read the article in my sig, chances are your adj is way too loose, the clutch is not fully disengaging.

anyhow, I used to recommend fiore products, but he's not making that stuff any longer (his machinest may in the near future though)

for now, I'd stick with the MM stuff.

Jeremy, thank you for the Fiore info. There was a thread in Talk a few days ago. I had seen that his products were vanishing but hadn't heard anything else (like that they might be back again).

I've spoken with him a few times on this one, He's got a full time job now that demands 100% of his attn.

while He will continue selling his 05+ line on some things, much of the other stuff such as this quadrant has been discontinued. He gave the rights to sell the quadrant and fwa to his machinest, and has no eta for production dates at all. While I heard somewhere on the net It may be soon, I haven't heard anything from him yet on that.

kind of a bummer, really there is no fwa out there that I would prefer to run.
