Congrats to Terry and Julie, their newest beast showed up in the June '11 issue of 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords magazine. We knew it was coming but it's nice to finally see it.

For those of you who don't know, it's this car:

brought to you by the folks responsible for this one

Bout time! That car was destined for glory from day one! Now if only you can get it into a magazine that actually still does tech articles about Foxes.

Thanks, I don't know why MM&FF let 5.0 get ahead of them.

Oh, boy not real thrilled about Micheal Johnson using that pic in the article. Now you guys know were a couple of old farts compared to most on here.

Thanks to all of you that followed along for all that time through the interesting and the boring, really was great to have the input and support, from a bunch of guys as nuts as us about foxes.

I feel like 5.0 and MM&FF have had plenty of fox tech articles. Not every single article can be about the fox. Lately they have been pretty balanced between Fox/SN/S197's...

Not lately for 5.0M&SF. I've been really frustrated with that mag. MM&FF though, have been doing a fantastic job with the Fox/pushrod stuff, I've really been getting into that magazine. I had a subscription to 5.0 and I let it expire, and now I'm really looking into getting one with MM&FF.

I understand that you have to balance the various styles of Mustangs. I understand that completely, and I even get into reading about the modular stuff. However, 5.0M&SF has pretty much abandoned the average Fox body owner.

For example, this month's tech articles, taken right from their website:

Technical

Boss 302 Intake Test
Testing the high-revving '12 Boss 302 intake manifold and an 82mm throttle body on an '11 5.0

700HP Coyote
Lethal Performance turns its '11 Mustang GT project car into a 700hp monster

Two-Valve Bolt-Ons
Revving up a Two-Valve 4.6 with a head/cam/intake upgrade

Maximum Drag Suspension
Increased suspension bite with gear from Maximum Motorsports
Web Extras

Coyote, Coyote, Mod 4.6, and some random suspension article.

This has been going on for a while, too.

Sorry, Terry, I don't mean to derail your thread!

Well it is 2011, if they did a bunch of fox articles they would just be rehashing old stuff that has been done in the past. Times change and they have to keep current with whats going on with the new stuff.

not a dumb question...looks like a normal power steering pump with a bracket similar to mine, only powder coated or painted.

the "fish" looking one in this pic is the one i have. actually, i have this EXACT kit from this exact guy. the other bracket is an alternator bracket.

i got my kit on ebay, but march performance makes them. www.marchperformance.com

Its a stock pump but I had to fab a special bracket to change the position of the powersteering pump. If you look at it, you will see that it is about 4-6 inches counterclockwise from factory position. This was done because the heat from the turbo on that side was boiling the fluid, most twin turbo setups do not run power steering for this reason

Congrats on the feature!

Awhile back I started eliminating some of the magazines I had piling up but did tear out the articles I felt were helpful to future projects. I kept the article on your red and black car which I remember reading again about the time you started this car.

I remember seeing this car at Cecil Dragway in a show. I believe it may have been yellow bullet nats? My parents had the black pro street 67 nova in there with you. Absolutely beautiful car in person.
