I used mine for years with no problems, but one season of powershifting and the 3rd gear synchro gave up. FWIW, when the synchro went it would grind into gear under normal shifting, and was alot easier to powershift.
I think you will be ok for a while with the 408. When you kill the synchros, just send it to liberty gear and have them faceplate it!
Yea powershifting is what hurts them the most add that in with a decent hooking tire and the tranny will be coming out real quick. Gearing also plays a big role.
well, its mostly going to be a street car, but I have ET streets that I will put on for the track. We'll just have to wait and see what happens I guess.
Side note, I have everything I need to drive the car EXCEPT for a clutch fork. I knew I should have kept it...
