I finally got my car on the road after Tremec TKO conversion. Used Mustang Steve cable setup and Mcleod scattershield/Ford billet steel flywheel.
Have been adjusting cable at top end . It seems to me that there is a lot of travel in the pedal until full release of clutch. Adjusted firewall end almost all the way out, but not helping much. Will adjusting clutch fork end of cable all the way to one end help?
Any tips appreciated.

does the fork end of the cable have a threaded length (allthread) on it? Im not immediately familiar with the cable MS sells, so I dont know what it looks like.

Mine has a length of allthread for these adjustments. But then, I made it, so its not directly comparable, I suppose..

threads

Yes, it is threaded. It is now at abouth 1/2 way. I have the firewall adjusted ALL the way out. I get it feeling good but after 15-20 pedal strokes the engagement is gone and can,t get in to gear. Feels like the cable is stretching, but I know it can't be that much.????

Cable

Sorry for the lag time, just got back in town. Should I have the bell housing end secured so cable housing cannot be pulled out of bell? I originally did not have the correct retainer clip to do so ,so went without for my initial test runs. Top end just slips into the Mustang Steve adjustable block. Can't see this being a problem since cable will pull it tighter to block during use.
Additionally, the fork seems to sit pretty far foreward in the slot of bell, even though adjustable pivot stud is out almost all the way. Mcleod scattershield and Lakewood fork as suggested by Darkhose Performance.
