Triax vs UPR vs Pro 5.0

Which one would you choose. I can also drive to UPR and pick up the shifter tomorrow, so that may be a deciding factor. But I would like to get as many opinions as possible. Thanks.

I won't talk down the UPR units because I haven't ever used one, and don't know anyone who has; but for my money the PRO 5.0 will go in every mustang I ever own.

i have only used the triax and its a great piece...i only drove on pro 5.0 for bout 5mins and it felt as nice if not better......steeda isnt much farther if u are in the driving mood lol....30mins or so

The UPR shifter is a copy of the TRI-AX. UPR used to use the same machinest that Steeda did for a while just less money.

89 sleeper said it, if u buy a tri-ax ur paying for the name and a slightly different handle...BTW i have a UPR w/a Pro-5.0 stick and i like it, nice and short throws

pro 5.0 with a tri-ax or another longer handle. I'm about to bolt my stock one in till I get a triax, the handle on 5.0 is too short for me. Good shifter though.

i've driven cars with the tri-ax and the pro 5.0 and i definitly like the feel of the pro-5.0 ive the tri-ax. myne is in the basment waiting to go in

I've had both and like the Pro 5.0 better...it feels stronger and just seems right Both are very nice shifters though...

I ripped the knob off with all the threads off a UPR Shifter. I would say Triax since it's the same design as a UPR but probably better quality. I have a Triax in the garage but havent used it. I liked the stock stick on the UPR shifter.

UPR is bomb, i just got one and it is Super, the quality and the perfect dimensions! The material used excellent, lightweight, strong everything! I hate to put my shift boot over it, needs to be exposed! Also not to mention the improvement in shifting!!! OOOOOOOOO

Definatly Tri-Ax. Haven't tried a Pro 5.0 yet, but I am extremely happy with my Tri-Ax... beats the hell outta by wore out B&M Ripper lol

does a 5.0 shifter bolt right into a turbo Voyager? i am kidding, but am i missing something with your sig?

If there wasn't such a price difference I might just drive the extra 30 miles, but like you said it is the same quality. The UPR is about 30.00 cheaper. I was hoping sleeper would be giving his input. Thanks everyone.

I would pick the pro 5.0 out of them. I have one and it is great. You can shift very hard and fast annd not have to worry about missing a gear, or bending the shift fork(stops on it). I would recommend it.

my next shifter will be a pro5.0. I have a triax now, and although it is a good shifter, I would like something a stiffer feel.

Pro 5.0 by far. The only other shifter on the market that comes close IS the Steeda Tri-Ax, and the 5.0 still leaves it way behind. I had one on my T-5, on my TKO, and I have one on my T-56 now. They're great - such positive shift engagement, it's hard for me to miss a gear now.

HISSN50, I have had THREE Mustangs now, yea, something is missing, oh wait, I dont put cars I dont own anymore in my sig like some people do around here. I actually still have one of them right now but I bought it to sell, so no point in putting it in my signature. It has a Powerdyne and some other stuff. It has a stock shifter, I cant belive how bad the stock shifter is, both of my other cars had aftermarket shifters when I got them. This is the most I have driven one with a stock shifter and man does it suck!
