So I just got my car all back together. Trick flow heads, cam, roller timing set. It started right up but couldnt get it to idle. Then it just wouldnt start at all. So the timing should be close enuf at least to get it going.

First off the timing set that trick flow sends requires to counter sink new screw into your stock cam thrust plate. So had to go to a machine shop just to get that done. Also Theres a ring that goes in between the timing gear and the block. Im hoping that its not the reason it wont run, maybe its to tight on the cam or something.

So I know vacuum is fine and timing is pretty much ok, but it just wont start now. Anyone have any ideas of what I can try?

Im praying I dont end up having to take the engine apart 3 times just trying to figure out the problem.

I had this problem too dude. Mine wound up being the fact the timing was too low. so i kept turning the distributor till it would start and stay running and then timed it to where i wanted it. you shold try again. secondll. i know the instructions tell you to counter sink the screw on the thrust plate. i however did not becuase the screws did not interfere with the sprocket. I have had no problems what o ever, so i do know why the instructions tell to do that. maybe some cars dont have the clearance
