trick flow rocker noise

Hey guys I have some 1.6 tfs rockers that are making some bad clacking. New lifters, and valve springs......adjusted them prob 6 times and not much difference. Something I did noticed was the excessive side to side play between the trunnion and body. It's almost like they need shimmed! I just put some scorpion rockers on my other car and they had almost nil side to side play and are quiet...

Ideas?

BTW these are stud mount and the p-rod length/pattern is fine.

so they are clacking and also have the play i'm talking about? I was happy that my scorpions were so quiet, almost zero side to side play. I wish I could just shim these...

don't know if anyone cares but I measured .016-.017 play on multiple rockers. I'll try and get some .010-.012 shim washers with correct id/od and see if it helps. .016 may not sound like a lot but holding it in your hand it seems excessive for sure. I talked to my buddy who also had loud rockers and he checked them and they too had excessive side play. We'll see, maybe this will fix the problem so many people have.....if not then ill get another set of scorpions.
