Trickflow stage 1 or stage 2 cam....Decisions decisions

I'm building a 331 with Trickflow twisted wedge geads, trackheat intake and either a Tfs stage 1 or 2 cam, I have the stage 2 already but I need to know if it's a boost friendly cam since I will be boosting it with an S-trim soon after I break it in and down the road turboing it Anybody got any technical info on why it works good or bad with a supercharger or turbo? :SNSign:

I think most will tell ya to get a custom cam for your specific application. Pretty reasonable!

Stage 2 cam is what I am running with my s-trim and it seems to work REALLLLLY well with boost. If you ask me a stage 2 cam is a really good blower cam

Just about any camshaft is going to feel awesome with boost behind it.

Custom is best of course, but between the two, for the TFS-2.

Sounds like a plan, the tfs 2 is going in.
Is it a "blower cam" though? Like how an E-cam is a known good blower cam is?

Yeah it is a good blower cam I have it and I am running a blower and I easliy hit OVER the 500 rwhp mark almost 550 so I would say it works well

It is not labeled as a "blower camshaft" if that is what you are asking.

a blower cam has a higher LSA and shorter duration vs a big n/a cam.
the duration bleeds off compression in lower rpms...the cam i have right now would be a sick boost cam (xe270hr)

LSA is not a determinant of the "type" of cam....... it's a result from the correct valve events.

thanks for fixing my mis info.

all the blower cams tend to be "tighter" from looking and comparing specs. im not an expert by any means at all, so if im wrong plz correct me.

That's basically what I meant, if it would "compliment" the boosted motor or lose it's effect of what it was designed for.

Why does it say it's not computer compatible? It says it with the stage 1 also and tons of people use them with the stock tune.
