Tricky Question

Ok guys i posted a few back that i think i blew another head gaskets right after replacing the last one (maybe didnt put it on right). The car just started driving clunky and there was beige goo in my dipstick and oil fill cap. My question is, since there is probably no oil left in the motor just that thick crap, can i flush and refill the oil and drive it a little bit, or what should i do. It starts and idles fine, but when i last drove it it was pouring out white smoke and barely starting. If i can flush and refill anybody have a website or instructions on flushing the oil and coolant, never flushed either one before. Thanks guys. :flag:

go to jiffy lube they have a machine that cycles out your engine 9 times it pumps hot fluid through your drain plug and oil filter plate. it removes carbon and depostis. they also have a radiator flush machine that uses air pressure so it sucks it from everwhere the colant goes i know i work there...............they all are real popular and work well.

I just went through this a couple months ago twice! I just used some engine flush and ended up changing the oil twice after that. Just get some cheap generic oil to do the flushings. That crap sits in the bottom of the pan. Run your motor for about 10 minutes to let it warm and then shut it down and drain it. Just keep an eye on your dipstick in the next couple days afterwards. :nice: Do not drive around until it is clear again.

ok thanks, understand except never done flush, so what do i do.....add more oil to wuts in their now w/ that goo and run it, drain it, than add it and drain it? Please if you can give me instructions on how to do that flush , i really need to.

Go to an auto parts store and get a case of cheap oil , filters and a can of Motor Flush. Drain your oil and then add a can of Motor Flush with the new oil and follow the directions on the can. Drain then add new oil and filter and run the car for 10 minutes and then check your dipstick. If it is still mocha shake then drain it and do the same procedure until it is clean. I bought a case and then 5qts of good oil and did the whole case as flush and added the good oil as the 3rd oil change of new oil and it came out clear again.

If it is blown yeah the oil changes you are doing are not going to do anything but waste your $$. This is more the procedure after the HG is already been replaced. If you drain your oil now and it pisses it out than you have anit-freeze mixed with it and it prob is your HG. Do a compression test to be sure though. It is a simple procedure and will let you know for sure what is going on.

boost is at 9psi...and the timing was done by alternative..im not sure what is to be honost with you. I just am confused b/c i didnt change the oil after i did the HG and i did spill some coolant in the ports for oil, but the car drove ok to work and back after i picked it up. Than i went to Taco bell w/ my gf and gave it a little gas and the thing started driving funny and spitting out CLOUDS of white smoke. I started her yesterday and it idles fine from waht i can hear......added a qt of clean oil check teh dipstick after letting it fun for a minute and the oil looked ok. Is there a chance the oil and the coolant i mixed when i did the change took a while to mix than it ran funny, or would that not cause the car to drive funny. Felt like the spark plugs wires were wrong (they are not though just the same feeling boggy) ANybody i am so lost after spending 500 bucks of my money i want to get it right.

my friend SC, i know i had no way of getting it from teh shop back to work and home though!!! it was driving ok though is what im saying.....over heating than going to cold but it was alright, than later i took it out and it started driving like ****zz and the mocha started coming. Could it not be a blown HG and just it took the oil and coolant a while to mix, or what?? :hail2:

OMG dude! You should have changed the oil for sure after the HG install always! You had the oil and coolant mix already in there I'm sure and now you have shaken up the mocha shake more (not good) Do the flushes ASAP and you should be fine. Just don't drive around anymore until its done.

You can drain it but all that sludge will be all over the place in there. I tried doing that also and it was still all over my VC's and filler neck. I used the flush and it got all that chit out. That's just me though, you can just do the oil change if you want.
