Im having cold idle issues and I can't set the idle because it dies without the IAB plugged in. Im thinking its vacuum related so I may just pull the intake and valve covers and adjust the rockers.
I had to adjust the the stop screw on the throttle body to adjust the idle up a bit before it would idle without the IAC connected. Then I was able to set the idle properly, although I have a performance cam (do ask me what type as the prior owner had it installed) in mine so I needed to set the idle a bit higher 900-950 to idle properly).
See the "Surging Idle Checklist for help with all your idle/stall problems. Everything you need to find and fix idle problems is in there.
The first two posts contain all the updates to the fixes. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.
