Trim question

I'm thinking about ripping the trim off my car, its missing part of it as it is and old black trim on a white car stands out like a sore thumb. I personally think the car would look alot sleeker without it. My only question is how would you go about the "trim" that is part of the bumpers? For the body I was going to use body filler/fiberglass to get rid of the valley that is behind the trim and paint over it, but how would one go about removing the fake trim from the bumpers? I was thinking sawzall that off and make a fiberglass/filler sandwich around the hole, but are then some better ways to go about doing that? To elaborate on what I mean by that, I mean put fiberglass behind the bumper on the inside, filler in the hole, sand down, and fiberglass over that.

On a related note, how do you think a GT bumper mated to a notchback would look?

since the trim is moulded into the bumpers it would take a CRAPLOAD of hours to fabricate a smooth piece...

as far as gt trim/bumpers on a notch... thats what I'm doing... i currently have a GT bumper on my notch... it looks good. check out this one... I think it looks BEYOND SICK... its how mine will look when im done... but I have a saleen wing...

Holy crap dude, that's freakin awesome. How do they get the trim to look like that? Done that way it looks good, like the trim is actually supposed to be there. Mine looks like it was added as an afterthought; it looks like someone just kinda slapped it on with some sticky tape a la ricer style. For that reason I want it gone, but if I could get it to look the way it does on that LX I would do it. It's just that the way it is theres all these gaps around it and its peeling away and discolered. If I can get my hands on a digital camera I'll take a picture of it. By the way, your car is looking good, what color are you going to make it? Do you have any pictures of the front or are you still waiting on the GT bumper?
