Just got back from JDM Engineering to get my car dyno'd....Put out 473 at the wheels AND thats maxing out the MAF at 5000rpm. Should put down about 515 after new MAF meter. btw you want your car tuned by a pro...JDM is the place. The father (Jim DiAmore SR.) is a mad man with fords. Absoltuly amazing...

Anywho...heres my problem, after this super dyno tune, if im in second gear and stomp on it the tires just spinnnn, if im in third and stomp it the tires just spinnnn. I have toyo Proxies....295/35/18. Forget launching the car....any suggestions to keep them to the pavement??

awesome numbers :nice:

I am no expert, but the first option to come to mind is changing your rear end ratio. If your not curretly running the 3.31s, maybe you could find some cheap at newtakeoff.com. That might help. Then again, that is going to sap some of the performance. I know the Tremrec is capable of handling the high HP numbers, but I dont think the gear ratios are set up all that well for major power.

Anyhow, I am sure an aftermarket suspension would help as well, if your not already running one. I have heard a Watts link helps with launch traction, and they are heavier so there is more weight on the rear tires.

Taller rear tires....

You may just want to deflate the tires a bit.

Just thinking out loud here. Sorry if this stuff is obvious. I am still getting used to my 320 horses, so I cant say that I know what to do with more than that.

Jim Sr is my step dad .they paint better than they tune LOL. Any way my o3 cobra spins bad also.i put 373 with canned tune .not as much as yours but 410 when nailed at 70 still puts you spinning.but when feathered DAMN have fun holding 65 in jersey

Get some Mickey Thompson Et Street Radials and call it a day.
Yup, a drag radial is what you need at this point if you're having traction trouble. The Nitto 555R's are fine for the street, too. Pretty much any drag radial will work on the street for you. But if you plan on tracking, too, then go with the MT ET Street, 'cuz the BFG, Nitto, etc... suck at the track.

Do some rear suspension work. If your lower control arms are not level with the pavement get some relocation brackets, do an adjustable upper and a pair of lower control arms along with an adjustable panhard rod if you're lowered. That will get your roll center in check and the car's body centered over the axle. The J&M Products rear suspension parts are great and priced excellent.

Hmmm all very true, i would put the MT streets on but its my everyay car so i need a tire thats good in the rain too. and yeah i might do some suspension work soon, have zero work done there.haha. i got a little out of hand with the motor first...what about new shocks? im not too educated in the suspension area...

If you ride in the rain a lot then get the Nitto D/R's, they are about as good as any regular tire in the rain & they last longer than the other D/R's. Like I said tho they dont hook as good.

I bought an extra set of rims for the mickeys & ride on the Nittos every day. When I know I have a race set up I throw the mickeys on.

The Nittos last about 8k miles with the abuse they go thru, The mickeys have been off and on for about 10 K miles but are almost gone. I got a set of M&H's waiting to replace them.

I love Drag Radials & so does My stang.
