A little OT, but thought I'd report to you 289 owners who have ever wondered what kind of numbers their engine is putting out.

I just got back from getting my 65 FB dynoed. With a Holly 570 Street Avenger, Weiand stealth intake, Flowtech long tubes into 2 1/2" pipe into flowmaster 50's with 2 1/4" tail pipes, and all stock internals it was 182 RWHP @ 4800rpm. I was a little disappointed, but at least I know where she stands. No where to go but up. In money and HP!

That's not bad for a fairly stock motor!

I didn't get the print out and didn't ask what the torque was. I'm sure it is in the same ball park though.

One thing to note is that this is on a fresh rebuild. Only about 3K on engine.

Would you say that the edelbrock setup with with 600cfm, and performer rpm setup, would be about the same? i dont know how the weiand stealth is. is it a dual plan highrise intake?

The stealth is about equivalent to the RPM, but by most accounts I'v heard... a little better in about every way. Revs higher (Advertised), i've seen a few dynos where hp is consistently 2 or 3 higher at all rpms, and everything else is about the same.

I forgot to ask, what tranny are you running? And are you running A/C or power steering?

It is an auto, tranny is a C-4. It has original a/c, and power steering.

That's not bad, my car only put out 199hp@5200 at the rear wheels and I have more modifications than you.

I'm running a rebuilt 4speed, with no a/c or power steering. How much more power will that give me do you think?

I would guess between 8-10 more HP, maybe 1 or 2 less or more. The 4 speed will make most of the difference. The a/c sould make no difference as long as it's not on and the P/S pump maybe takes away 1 horse, if that.
