I couldn't get my trunk open at all. It wouldn't one bit. Tried to wd40 and no luck....I tried it twice using that and no luck.
Talked to an old locksmith who told me to take a #2 pencil and scrape some of it off on the teeth of the key. I was a little skeptical but damn if it didn't work. It took a little working it back and forth but it did work. It could have been a combination of the two but it worked. Just thought I'd share. Never heard of that before.
