Trunk measurement needed

With great difficulty I got the replacement trunk piece to fit, or so I thought. Could somebody do me a big favour and measure the right pan width at the back and the front of it (right in front of the wheel housing). The back on mine is off by a good inch so that's not going to work. If I know the dimensions I can figure something out. Never occured to me to take these measurements before I slaughtered the old piece.

The way it sits in the picture, the gas tank will be way out when I drop it in

Are you looking for the measurement across the top of it?

If so, mine is straight... 10 1/2" across the top right in front of well, and 101/2" right above your rear clamp.

Yes that is the offending part, the gas tank flange isn't quite where it should be. I test fitted the gas tank and it isn't quite as far off as I thought, about 1/2". I think I may be able to pull it over enough to bolt the tank in to kind of pull it into place and then tack weld it in place.

It could very well be a Dynacorn part, my hood was but as far as fitting, it really doesn't. The cut out for the wheel housing is way too far forward, again close to an inch. If you look at the picture you can see where the outer wheel housing is quite a bit further back. Also the centre flange shows it as well.

Forgot to mention, speaking of fit, the trunk curve that goes around the wheel house, although in the wrong place, is correct in shape. However the re-pop wheel house has an entirely different shape to it, I have to totally reshape the bottom of it to fit. It is impossible to belive one was made to fit the other
