Has anyone ever had luck with keeping your stock hood? I'd imagine using vert mounts and avoiding the 1 inch spacer might work. But Im also thinking about cutting the hood and covering it with a scoop.

What kind of intake you planing on running that would require cutting a hole in the hood?

If its just a 302 I don't see why you would have a problem. Usually only run into hood problems with 351ws and carb applications..

Ditto that.

There will be no clearance issues with an intake swap on a 5.o.

Which one? I've got the long-runner R and I have no hood clearance issues.
