tuned my car

ha. thats almost the same numbers i got with my tf h/c/i setup. congrats. I neer took my car to the trck but people will probably say you could be low 13's high12's depending on a bunch of variables

89 computer tunning?

I was just starting to check into tunning. Spring I put TF 360 heads n cam, BBK SSIntake, cold air kit, 24lb injectors and matching MAF, 65 throttle on my 89 GT. Adjusted TPS to .999 volt. It runs ok but think it could be better with "tunning".

Can the 89 computer be "flashed" and retain tuning info? Map and adjust the fuel usage and pressure and so forth?? to get it running really smooth idle and kick ash?

Thanks,:stupid:

thats about right. i think that the cam you have is holding you back a bit though. if you would have went wtih something more agressive, it would have made 300+.

youi should see mid-low 13s with sticky tires all day.

Soooo.....

The TF cam was as agressive as I wanted to get. Even with a vacuum can I still dont have brakes all the time.

Sooooo...... it is or is not possible to tune/flash an 89 computer was the question????

Anything mail order is pointless.

Either take the car to a dyno shop, or invest the money and time in learning to use a tuning device like tweecer RT, Moates, or PMS.
A WB O2 will help as well...

my car make 280 hp @ 325tq at the wheels. our setups are almost the same but your heads are better, check out my sig. you can atleast run 12.9 like i did and i think i could run better if i changed my shift points.

hows that for in the ballpark!!!!!!!

i was shifting at 6700 which was right before the rev limiter. i'm told that the stock tachs are about 1000 off which would put me at 5700. the stupid thing is my car has a custom tune and make max power at 5300.
i haven't been back to the track since my friends knocked some sense into me. i think my car can run faster because i am probably shifting the car when it is laying down!?!???
my ultimate goal is 12.5 but i am very happy. the car runs excellent.

ouch. not all stock tachs are off. In fact, I've yet to own a fox with the tach off.

get a real tach, and shift at 5800 tops...if you stop making power at 5300, and you know it, then shift at 5300
