Tuners and `05 Speed Parts

I called my local Ford specialist as I have an `05 Mustang GT on order. I asked why Steeda had a lot of parts available now, but Saleen and Roush weren't ready. He told me that while all of the major tuners have had prototype cars to work with, the Roush and Saleen cars "blew up" their engines AT the SEMA show.

Quite a story. Can anyone here shed any light on this?

Steeda is the only compnay that has particpate in Fords technology trnsfer program. I think Steeda has been working with 05's for alomst a year now.

It seems odd that with the NASCAR relationship, Roush wouldn't have at least parity with the other tuners. I suppose it's possible, but it sounds like a strange way to do business.
