Does anyone here have any experience tuning their 4.6? I know I can bump the timing and take advantage of higher octane fuel, but I don't have any direct experience with the 4.6. I would probably just add a staight 4-5* across the board, but maybe someone can describe a better strategy?

Also, AF ratios are a bit funny with the stock tune... in the mid range, it is pretty lean, around 13.5:1, and fattens up to 12.2:1 by redline. I'm thinking I'll make it around 12.9: in the mid range, and lean out to 13.2:1 by redline. Any suggestions on that?

My modifications are very light. I have an offroad H pipe, PI cams and drop in K&N, but I think a tune will make the car a bit more fun and snappy.

I ask because I recently bought a Tweecer, and it should work on both my 2.3 LX and the 97 GT. :D

Check out "eectuning.org". There is a FAQ there that is really helpful (in my non-TwEECer opinion). There is a Yahoo User's Group and a site called TuneSwap or something like that. Check out Clint's "EEC Analyzer" site, eecanalyzer.net. He is the author of EA and Binary Editor.

That's about the extent of my TwEECer knowledge, sad to say.

HTH,
