Keep in mind...that aerodynamic advantage only works for the Vette if you're roll racing on the freeway like those idiots in the youtube video's. Otherwise, its not going to mean squat. Especially at the race track where trap speeds won't be exceeding much more than about 120mph.

well. i drove it tonight. base tune nothing snappy.
it is tuned pig rich and 2 degrees pulled mid and top end on a 91 octane tune. just a shake down run. a tranny cooler hose that was in bad shape already broke. 15.00 will fix that and a little fluid.

first impressions are:
1. the turbo quiets the open exhaust WOT a bunch, i can hear it over the exhaust.
2. turbo lag is minimal.

3.GOD ALMIGHTY THIS HAS POWER

I mean really, you have to be freakin kidding me. this must be what its like driving a termi. i only let it rev to 6500 once, and its enough till i get used to it.

god almighty i am suprised.

Are you using the GTs puter or the Lincolns? Are you still using the IMRCs? How much boost? Is the engine stock otherwise?

This may be an alternative to selling my Mark. If I could slap another 100 horses on it I may love it again

Just use a measuring stick under your belt, that way you can tell how much of a man you are without having to go to the track to get a kill on a road racing car with irs.

I killed a hennessey viper with 264rwhp at HRP in 2001, cut a light, and ran a 13.21, he spun down the track and trapped 16mph higher than me, but I won. Good luck with your build and personal goals.

YouTube - Ranger C6Z06 10.85 Bone-Stock on Drag Radials

Here is our good buddy, Ranger, 10.85 in a bone stock z06 with drag radials. He is looking to go mid-high 9's on the stock suspesion, 18 inch wheels, full factor weight on motor only. And the car is an animal around a corner.

Can't figure out why you continue to have this kill Chevy Mentality in your head in many of your threads over the last year, since your NA 5.4 ran such pathetic numbers, it seems to come up in a lot of your post.

I hope you run great numbers and good luck with the car.

A tad harsh, don't you think? If the guy wants to build a Corvette killer, who is anyone here to say he shouldn't? I personally think a Z06 is a great benchbark to measure any high performance build by.

Maybe so, B.

I'm glad he has his car running, edited a bit of the post when you were posting. I wish the best for him and his car, but he has bashed LSX cars every chance he has, in reference to others post over the last year.

Don't mean to ruffle any feathers, each loves their own car, and it's great to see somebody put in hard work and go another route, but to measure a built turbo drag car against an IRS road racing car is not a good comparison. The z06 is more of a corner carver, than a drag racing car.

mid to high nines? hmmm no way i can do that by upping the boost to say 25psi and racing gas.

good thing the motor can handle it. Z06, high nines on 460rwhp. bu!!*****.

10.85. maybe. bone stock. bullcrap also.

i guess its a good thing i can also add 4.30's and some valvesprings and rev it to 8000.

really your corner carver crap means nothing.

i hate every chevy ever made. ALL OF THEM. I WOULD HAVE TO WEAR A TYVEK SUIT AND A RESPIRATOR TO DRIVE ONE.

the bench mark remains what it is. 10.85? it will get me kicked off of the track. and your buddies vette too. SFI rules and all. but i will run 11.51 so i can remain. no roll cage for me.

anyway.

comments appreciated. even from bowtie guys in here. besides like i have surely demoinstrated. i can build another with billet internals and REALLY thow boost at it. but i am satisfied with this. and thats all that really counts.

LS kills. lots of them. HORDES of them. all those 'all motor' LS cars--->550 hp really doesnt cut it does it.

Why don't you do a check of my post, and see how many positive comments I contribute here. Wow, a whopping 150 post?

You "swear I have nothing good to say", well here are my last post here.

stock GT PCM. it is forged. you can safely add 200hp.

IMRC's locked closed for DD and open for racing. i have the controller but i havent investigated using it yet.

boost is variable. the tune is a 14psi tune and i can vary it from 3.8psi -14psi.

economy is a critical aspect. its why i havent changed gears yet. obce i get a month or so DD i will adjust the gearing for better acceleration but keep most of the economy.

im going to run 87 octane daily. so no boost then. no sudden boosting. it will have to be a planned thing. except on days where i really need to run it.

i have a spare gen2 intake getting ready for major changes after i get this sorted out.

winters ernough back and forth for me. you started it with taking the chevy kills personal.

i have the same choice you do. especially on a ford site to hate chevy and everything the bankrupt copmpany produces.

dont be suprised if you have one of the last vettes.
