Heya Guys! took my car to modular powerhouse (again tim is the man!!) he tried to tune it and it wound up being untunable. the new setup with the tubonetics kit just made too much turbulance at the MAF for him to get the A/F correct. so i put the old style pipes on and he tuned it right up!! I cant tell you how awsome they are over there. if the old style pipes wouldn't have worked, they were gonna custom make pipes for me! anyway on to the numbers. i am only running about 7.5 lbs of boost (need to get the boost controller before i can get it to the 9.5-10 that i want.) but here goes the numbers so far.

RWHP- 403.2
RWTQ- 411.8

boost hits at about 3200-3500 rpm. (anyone know a way to get it a bit lower than that, maybe 2900-3000?) at 10 pounds of boost i should be at my goal of 500 hp. . lets hope!

all the best!

The only way to change at what rpm boost comes in is to change the impeller blades, not sure exhaust or intake you'll need to contact turbonetics. What other mods do you have and what whas the difference in the pipes that caused so much turbulance??

not that big of a deal with the spool up. . as for other mods, i have a magnaflow exhaust. . thats it. and the problem with the pipes is this: the original design turbonetics made was a draw thru. . the maf is on the intake pipe just behind the air filter, and the blow off valve exhaust gets re-routed to the intake pipe. they problem with that is that it can cause turbulence also with the MAF. they switched to a blow thru system where the maf gets placed on the pressure side just in front of the throttle body. the problem with that is that you need a nice long strait pipe so the flow is constant, Turbonetics put the maf about few inches after an elbow bend, they put a honeycomb in the pipe in hopes of smoothing out the air stream, but it did not work on my application.
