turbo question

My stock IHI turbo blew out .... seal blew out and bearing fried... so i was talkin to one of my friends who works at a localgarage that deal with mainly hotrods and imports.... He knows a guy who has a Turbo off of a Buick Grand National .... "He thinks" not really sure .. he really hasnt had the time to ask his friend... anyways he said iit was for sure a T3 .. so would the T3 off the grand national work on the 87 turbo coupe .. If it so How many pounds are those turbos good for ...

short answer? No. The gn uses a triangular flange, so it will not bolt up to your manifold.

great time to upgrade though.

call up this guy, you can mail him your old turbo and get it upgraded. let him know what you are wanting to get out of the car for power and stuff and he will matcha turbo to your aplication. I found him to be the best priced and the most customer oriented.
