By the end of this winter i am putting a turbo in my 91 fox.. I have never done this before and am planning on doing it myself. Its a stock 5.0 that im hopeing to run a decent amount of boost on it. I also have a 351w i am currently rebuilding so eventually im gonna swap parts over. I know all u guys at stangnet have important info to share. so please help me out. As far as Cheep parts/ do it yourselfs/ and tech info.. I could'nt even begin to decide what turbo to go with. So i figured i'd come here and get some help from the pro's . Thanks :SNSign:

If it were me I would buy a kit.
One of the stang mags recently had a big writeup on a turbo kit. It included everything they needed and doubled the power.

But a decent kit will run you around $4k

Any way i could save a g or 2 and just buy the turbo and customize the rest by myself?

Just a heads up, but regardless of whether you build it yourself or buy a pre-made kit...the kit for the 302 will not directly fit to a 351 setup. The headers will more than likely mount up, but when you switch it over you will have to customize both the hot and cold side tubing as the turbo and headers get shifted up and out with a 351.

i like the street sleeper turbo, Are those rateing accurate? almost 200 hp gain? Has anyone ran this system on their car that can give me a heads up and the best system to go w/?

The kit they used in the mag did over 200hp and around 200tq.

On a pretty much bone stock 5.0 Auto at 9psi.

I just bought a b&G turbo kit and its real nice. If you go to bgturbokits.com you can see them there. To save money buy just the hot side on fabricate the cold side your self. And millhouse is right you won't be able to swap the headers from a 302 to a 351.
