Turbo > Supercharger ?

Anyone know where to get a single turbo kit for the GT.. is it even possible. I searched the web some and came up with nothing.

I'm looking to add some power.. just not supercharger or twin turbo kinda stuff. I just want something to mess around with.. not to mention the blow off would be fun to mess with other people with.

Lemme know what you guys know. :)

Why is it that you dont want a supercharger? If you want a turbo for the BOV, you are getting it for the wrong reason IMO. I think there are a few turbo kits out there for the 4.6, but I'm not sure who makes them. A turbo will make more power because they are more thermally efficient, but a supercharger is far more simple and easy to install.

When I can afford it, I want to get a 03/04 cobra and swap to a twin turbo setup myself. Would be expensive, but I want something unique with alot of potential.

Small budget and Turbo just dont belong in the same sentence at all, unless you are building a kit from used/scrap parts. A quality turbo kit should cost more than just about any street supercharger kit.

If you just want a nice gain on a small budget, maybe nitrous would be the best route.

Nah.. I want the power it would add.. I just dont want to sped 5 g's on a supercharger.

I dont need a 400 hp car necessarily.. either.

Just a small gain would suit me well, with a small budget.

There's a reason why you hardly see anyone with a turbocharged stang. They simply cost MORE than a supercharger. Don't expect to pay no less than 6.5K for one. Not to mention, the install is a lot more complex than a blower.

I know a SN member that had a Vortech on his 1999 Mustang GT then switched to a single turbo. He blew the engine and then went forged. He told me there is nothing like the turbo and the power starts at a much lower rpm than the centrifical S/C.

If you have the $, go turbo. OR...maybe look into a Kenny Bell setup. Make sure your block can handle what you want the power adder to supply before you start.
