My friend "has" a 2000 V6 5spd that is turbocharged with dual exhaust. I say "has" because last time I talked to him (before it was turboed) he was telling everyone it was his, when it was actually his sister's. Anyway, I didn't ask how much boost he was running, because he didn't seem to know a whole lot about what he was talking about. I did ask if he had it dyno-tuned, he said no, he was just gonna get a chip. But how quick would his car be? He said I would have nothing on him. I didn't bother mentioning that even if he was faster than me, in the end he still has a V6 with V6 wheels, suspension, drivetrain etc. etc. (I didn't wanna make him mad) Any ideas how it should handle?

He probally thinks it will run like a GN because they are a 3.8L turbo V6. I doubt it will really run that well. It will be one fast v6 mustang, but unless he's got some major motorwork, that engine isn't going to be able to take the power it's going to need. The Ford 3.8 OHV is not that well made.

like any thing if tuned right and has the right combo it will do what its supposed to it will have pros an cons.. if hes no bs hell give you a run for your money ill tell ya that

The super coupes were really fast. I don't know how different the flow is on the newer motors, but if it flows, it could be impressive, but your right, it's a v6 with v6 rims. You should say "yeah, wow, it's quick. But ya know, it sounds like crap, and it looks like crap, oh well, at least it's quick"

I know for a fact that it is not tuned. He told me he didn't have it dynotuned. Either way, I really don't think that he is that great of a driver. I'm not worried about him beating me. I love my car and would take it over a turboed V6 anyday. And since it's a convertible, so would the ladies. :D

Yea, what really made me not even care is that he said the turbo only cost like $200 INSTALLED. I was like "what kinda turbo you sportin?!" Even if you have the hook up, which I do for a LOT of car stuff, there is no way you can get your car turbocharged for $200. But I humored him and asked him some more about it. Oh well, it's still a V6 stang with V6 wheels, V6 suspension, V6 drivetrain, V6 styling, and a tornado.... er I mean turbo. :D

One thing ive learned is ANYTHING can be fast. Im with all these guys - Pop the hood !!!!!!. We have soo many imports here in Vegas with that Fake Blow-off valve, what a joke. My friend had a V6 w/supercharger mid 13's not bad for a V6 stang. Yeh if he thinks its a GN or a TTA he WAY OFF.

RACE HIM AND HAND IT TO HIM.

LOL, sounds like a ricer to me.
I wouldn't even give him any credit for having it until i actually saw it with my own eyes. The next time he starts talking smack, tell him to open the hood and let you see. I'm sure at that point he'll give some lame excuse about not being able to find the keys...LOL
IF it really does have a turbo that runs even half decent then i think he'll wipe the floor with you. The only reason i say that is because i've seen low 13 second supercharged 3.8 mustangs that didnt have much more in the way of mods than the supercharger and bolt ons. So even if he is only running a really high 13 he will still have you. (unless you have more mods than in your sig)

Then again, he doesn't have a turbo....and even if he does it's his sisters car!
