turbocoupe wheels

anybody running them? i just picked up a set for 100 bucks. i used the tire calculator in the TECH ARTICLES section, and looks like a 245/50 x 16 will work pretty nicely.

is anybody running any other tire size?

also does anyone have any pictures of a mustang with turbocoupe wheels?
could've sworn i saw one here awhile ago.

What axle do you have in the rear of your '90 Notch? stock 7.5 rear or 8.8 rear? If it's 8.8 is it from a 5.0 stang or did you use the TC 8.8 rear?

Anyone have pics of them on a Mustang?? My doner TC has 4 nice 16 inch "snowflake" wheels with 225/60/16 tires. I was going to sell them, but now I'm considering putting them on the '92 Notch. What's the width of this wheel? Is it a 16x7 wheel? Will it fit a 'stang with a TC 8.8 rear axle??
(I know, I ask a lot of questions)

Now they are on my Cobra, with no issues.
I am running the stock 225/60/16's.

Just so I'm clear: you had the 8.8 rear from a TC in your '87 LX with the 16" snowflakes wearing 225/60/16 and you had no rubbing? Don't mean to sound redundant, but that's the exact set-up I'll probably end up with in my '92 Notchback and want to be sure before I take the time to mount the rear end.

I got a set of "snowflakes" from my '87TC Donar. Might mount my bran new 225/55ZR16's on em if I don't find Ponies. Eventually I'll have the TC's 8.8" rear on my '88LX.

Right now I only have the stock 7.5" rear in the car but I will be putting in a 8.8" TC rear that is in the garage right now. thanks for all the responses guys. i'm excited to get these wheels on. the 14x5 wheels just arent doing it anymore. i think it will make a big difference in handling. especially when i get my GT front sway and addco rear sway, with the appropriate energy suspension bushings and endlinks installed. i'm supposedly getting a free set of hand-me-down cooper cobras in 245/55, from a fellow supercouper.

I even ran my 26" slicks on ten holes with no rubbing witht eh TC rear end (from an 88).

I found even the tires and rims made a huge difference in how the car felt, I didn't have the TC swaybars on yet the last time I drove mine. It will feel like a whole new car to you I'm sure.

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but I have another question: When you put the TC rear end in the Mustang did you use the quad shocks? Also, what Master cylinder and proportioning valve did you use? I know there's a lot of info out there on MCs and Prop valves, but I'm curious about what you're running.

Honestly I am still runnign the stock disc/drum prop valve, and master cylinder. I do have a 93 cobra master and prop wating to go on. The brakes feel fine with the stock stuff.I do not have quads on it yet, I have the frame mounts from my old 88 5.0 parts car, just never put them on.
I did box the control arms, and have never really had a wheel hop issue with the setup I have.
I hope to get the brakes re-done, but i have tou fix the rear end first, I broke it on a hard launch
