Turn Signal switch

Two questions,


1) how do you replace the turn signal switch in the steering colum. Whats some tricks that people have used to replace this.

2) I blew the light in my dash to the left side indicator light for the turn signal..... How the heck to I replace that.... (i pretty much know its blown because smoke came when i crossed two wires then it wouldnt work.... another stupid mistake. )

Remove the steering wheel and the signal switch lever, the spring and then the three screws around this plate.
The wires must be cut or removed from the plug coming out of the column under the dash and then the switch will pull out with the wires.

Normally bulbs don't burn out from crossing wires, the smoke you seen was probably from a wire, contacts or connection that temporarily had too much current going through it.

I got the signal to work, but the left side indicator light doesn't work, and it makes the ticking sound and blinks out side but not in the dash.

did you change the indicator bulb?
