Ok, this is weird, and starting to become very annoying. When I'm on the road for roughly an hour straight, my turnsignals and hvac blower motor stop working. All of the other electronics still work, including my hazard flashers, and even my power mirrors. After I let my car sit for a few hours, everything magically starts working again, until I drive for about a hour, then the same issue comes back. Any ideas? And does anyone have a wiring diagram for the ignition switch, and the accessories that I am having trouble with? Thank you!

There was a FREE recall on Ford ignition switches. They overheat and sometimes catch fire. That burns up the steering column and sometimes the car interior. Since this is very old information, you may not be able to get the switch replaced for free anymore. The auto parts stores sell the switches for $13-$15.

Some of the symptoms of ignition switch problems are things that don’t work or are intermittent like radio, wipers or heater.

Saleen0679 was nice enough to dig this up for us awhile back: Replace a 1979-1993 Ignition Switch Assembly

Ok, noticed a few more interesting points. First of all, if I don't use my A/C, my turn signals don't fail. Second of all, I've studied the ignition switch wiring diagram, and there is a feed that goes to the fuse that works the turn signals, and also feeds fuse #8, but my hvac blower runs off of fuse #9, which is 30amp where as #5(turn signals), and #8 are both 15amp. I know that the blower is only powered with the ignition on "run" but I don't see the feed for it. I'm just trying to check any other issues that might be present before I tear apart my steering column and replace the ignition switch. Thanks all!

The ignition switch isn't that hard to replace. some plastic covers to remove and a T-27 tamper proof torx bit are all it takes. Be sure to check out the link in my first post, it has an excellent description & pictures of the ignition switch removal & replacement.

I got my tamper proof torx bit set at AutoZone for $10, and it even had a 1/4" square drive adapter
